15. The Head-less World System
The decapitated human race got used to abiding in its ‘living death’ state. So it created a decapitated, living death, world system by which to maintain independence from its Creator. In Genesis 4-11, Cain, Nimrod and the builders of the Tower at Babel are prominent examples of people driven by this worldly satanic spirit.
The ‘Dog-Eat-Dog’ Arena
The system of the Head-less human race rejects and ignores the God-given Heavenly inheritance and Blessing that were given to every human through God’s Word. In their place, men created a substitute soulish ‘Plan B’ – a man-made agenda, with decapitated regions, religions, economies and a God-less ultimate destination.
So the Serpent’s fatal decapitation of our race and the living death it caused forces people into a lifestyle and system in which it is normal to live apart from the Creator and Sustainer of all things. Now every human child is conceived in the state of spiritual Head-lessness. And we are bereft of the freely given birthright, status and inheritance God wants each and every one of us to have. And as long as, for whatever reason, we remain clueless about this and are not able to see what we’re missing, we remain deprived of our true human identity, purpose and destiny as God’s image and likeness. We’re cut off from our spiritual birthright and God-reflecting spiritual giftings and faculties that would be ours if we were one with God’s living Word.
Because the world system tries to derive resources and accomplishments from sources that bypass the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and His living Word who became one of us to redeem us, men elevate many created imaginary things to serve as their false gods. And because God’s Word and Holy Spirit no longer serve as their guidance system, people remain trapped under the deceptive influence and domination of the powers of Darkness. So basically, they’re relying on their own grossly limited and damaged human intellects, wills, imaginations, instinctual affections and carnal appetites and urges to serve as their guidance systems.
We naturally develop a self-centered, soul-driven lifestyle when we’re ‘Head-less.’ Since everything is up to each individual and his or her past subjective experiences and inherited familial traditions, that natural, earthy viewpoint inevitably pits people against each other. Each must defend his own perspectives and opinions and fend for himself against the priorities and drives of the other humans he encounters. So, if one wins and/or gains, he is elevated over the others that lose and are diminished. And when others prevail, those that lose, grieve and languish in shame and envy. It is an arena-type existence, fighting and clawing for every crumb of advantage and sustenance we can manage to grasp and keep. It is a living fulfillment of the ‘eating bread by the sweat of our brow’ curse to which spiritual decapitation condemned Adam’s fallen world (Genesis 3).
At some point of our lives, and for sure at the very end of them, the world system sucks the joy and peace out of everyone who was depending on it. Its joys and achievements and pleasures are fleeting at best. They do not endure, for the world from which they come is itself only temporary. So, when we depend on that, we are condemned to a life of toil, drudgery, anxiety and disappointment. No matter how hard we slave to eke out our subsistence, we can’t escape the paranoia, dread, insecurity, and empty, dissatisfied frustration that will inevitably result. We know in our hearts that nothing we gain is going to last. And, it will never be good enough… there will always be something better than what we currently have, and so, more will always be demanded of us. Thus, we come into this world naked; then we struggle and strive for a season, then we diminish and lose everything we strove for, and we leave this world as naked and bankrupt as we were when we were born into it. But beloved, that dismal set of cycles is a far cry from what humans who abide as one with God’s Word can enjoy and continually anticipate.
People without God are bereft of God’s family name, purpose and birthright inheritance. In that sense, they are spiritual orphans that must always scrounge and compete and try to prevail in the critical, unforgiving world arena. They toil and scheme constantly out of their delusive compulsion to ‘control their destiny’ and ‘measure up’, and ‘earn their keep’ and ‘please the right people’. They do whatever it takes to ‘stay in the spotlight’ and be ‘good enough. In place of the real name, status and birthright God has for us, the decapitated ones must try to make a way and name and place for themselves by depending on their extremely limited fallen wits, faculties, senses, plans and strategies. There is no slavery more brutal and thankless than this bondage to one’s self. But that is all that people of this fallen world know and all they will allow of each other.
The world makes us profoundly self-absorbed because it is competitive, manipulative, predatory, insatiable and unsafe. It’s like a jungle or an arena filled with predators of all kinds that make life brutal, merciless and dangerous for each other. People must ‘kill or be killed’ and grab as much as possible while preventing others from taking it away. Such a fierce merciless system is truly a human ‘meat grinder.’ It exploits, consumes and then disposes of life after life. So the waste of human life and ‘image and likeness of God’ potential, are truly appalling.
But God Will Never Settle for This
The living Word is The Original Blessing that God is continually restoring to men. He sent His Word in various ways and times as recorded in Genesis, Exodus and other books that follow. And in the fullness of His plan and its timing, God finally sent His living Word to Earth, and commissioned Him to take on human flesh…to become one of us! So the living Word of God, who appeared to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob…now appears to first century Israelites as Rabbi Yeshua of Nazareth…to seek them and the rest of the world out of hiding and draw us all back to Himself…to redeem, cleanse, free and restore us to what He really and truly made us to be:
“At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight. All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light!” (Matthew 11:25-30k Emphasis added.)
“For you (redeemed, regenerated disciples) are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one (with God and with each other) in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26-28 Emphasis added.)
But because of what the Serpent did to us, we are all born without any realization that we are blessed creations destined to be God’s image and likeness. Our fallen shame-based world keeps asking: ‘What have you done for me lately?’ ‘Don’t rest on your laurels!’ ‘Get out there and do a better job…perform, perform, perform…it’s never good enough….you must do better!’ So decapitated living is shame-driven living, fueled and maintained by snarling, vicious, free-for-all competitive violence. Instead of being God’s image, humans become wolf-like predators that endlessly prey on each other until they all drop from frustration, exhaustion, killing shame and grievous soul wounds that never have a chance to heal.
“What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: ‘He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us’? But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, ‘GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.’
“Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and HE WILL EXALT YOU!” (James 4:1-10 Emphasis added.)
Perfection Never Changes!
When our perfect God designs and creates something, there’s a specific identity, purpose and destiny built into it. So we must understand this – there is no way that God will change or revoke our birthright. But there’s also no way God’s blessed people will be able to be a success in the world because we were not made for this false world; we were made for God’s real, eternal one… and we are commissioned to be successful royalty in God’s Family and Kingdom. But no man can serve two masters; nor can we be part of two conflicting kingdoms that are at war with each other. We must choose one or the other.
Because God blesses His Creation, His Word has become The Blessing that is meant to stand forever. That’s how it is with us. Each of us has a blessed, God-given identity, purpose and destiny. We are meant to fulfill what God first revealed at the creation of Adam and Eve when He breathed His living Word – The Original Blessing – into us all. The Blessing stands forever as far as God is concerned. Once He speaks forth His Word, He will never take it back! Thus He will never cancel His decrees or alter His original intent. Nothing the Serpent or any other creature does can change God’s mind or will nor will they ever stop what He has set out to do and have.
“‘You are My witnesses,’ declares the LORD, ‘and My servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me. I, even I, am the LORD, and there is no savior besides Me. It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed, and there was no strange god among you; so you are My witnesses,’ declares the LORD, And I am God. Even from eternity I am He, and there is none who can deliver out of My hand; I act and who can reverse it?” (Isaiah 43:10-13)
So what is God doing now? What is His post-fall agenda?
God is restoring the absolute Authority, Supremacy and Headship of His Word!
The government and dominion of God’s Word will continue to increase until He reaches maximum, eternal vindication, supremacy and fulfillment. As that happens, the Word restores more and more of God’s blessed Creation back to the fullness of its pristine, original purity of purpose. So if we hear God’s Word and repent of radical independence, and allow Him to re-attach us to Himself, He restores us to our original image and likeness of God purpose and fully blessed inheritance (Isaiah 9:1-7; 2 Corinthians 5:19-20; Ephesians 1:3-6).
And since everything else is created and sustained by God’s Word, God is also restoring His Word’s full authority and supremacy over every other part of Creation, in and through the obedient faith of His disciples. By the time that restoration is done by the power of God’s Holy Spirit, everything will have been brought back under the Word’s total Authority and Supremacy.
“He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also Head of the Body, the Church; and He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the Fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on Earth or things in Heaven.” (Col. 1:17-20 Emphasis added.)
This is why God sent His living Word to Earth, to the fathers of our Faith and to others after them, in a variety of perceivable forms. He appeared and interacted with Noah, Abraham, Jacob, Moses, and Joshua. He made Himself known to and by the prophets of Israel. But His clearest, fullest and most significant manifestation was saved for His appearance as ‘The Son of Man’. That was when the Word came in the person of Rabbi Yeshua of Nazareth, the Messiah of Israel, so He could then be revealed to the whole world all at once. Then, in that form, God’s living Word fulfilled in space and time, the Blood Covenant Redemption that always existed in Eternity. And this is what He promised to do in Genesis 3:15 and in other parts of the Torah. And now He will continue to fulfill more prophecies until all is complete. In Eternity He reigns Supreme. He exercises all Authority there. And on Earth He is progressively revealing His Supreme Authority in stages…progressively destroying the works of the Serpent in human hearts and lives and restoring what Sin destroyed and setting as many humans free from the Serpent’s coils as possible. He is putting all of Creation back into its proper, God-ordained order. Many Scripture texts state this. Here are some examples:
“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this. (Isaiah 9: 6-7 Emphasis added.)
“I have sworn by Myself, the word has gone forth from My mouth in righteousness and will not turn back, that to Me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear allegiance.” (Isaiah 45:23)
“Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried; yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.” (Isaiah 53:4-6)
“Why are the nations in an uproar and the peoples devising a vain thing? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers take counsel together against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying, ‘Let us tear their fetters apart and cast away their cords from us!’ “He who sits in the heavens laughs, the Lord scoffs at them. Then He will speak to them in His anger and terrify them in His fury, saying, ‘But as for Me, I have installed My King upon Zion, My holy mountain.’ I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, and the very ends of the earth as Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall shatter them like earthenware. ’Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; take warning, O judges of the earth. Worship the LORD with reverence and rejoice with trembling. Do homage to the Son that He not become angry; and you perish in the way, for His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!” (Psalm 2)
“Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus (Yeshua) EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father.
“So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God (through His living Word and Holy Spirit) who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.” (Philippians 2:5-13 Emphasis added.)
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory.” Psalm 63:11 Emphasis added.)
God is Restoring His Living Word’s Total Supremacy
Any human that believes, repents and begins to obey God’s living Word, is commissioned to serve as His disciple. And disciples are in need of training to serve God’s living Word properly (Genesis 17:1-3; Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Luke 6:46-49). The commission is always the same: Repent of your radically independent ways. Believe and become one with God’s Word on His terms, so that His Life and His obedience to God may be seen working within you. Place yourself, with all your heart and soul, back under His eternal authority (Headship). And serve as His embodiment here on the Earth, like a branch embodies the life and the productivity of its vine.
When the Word truly becomes your personal spiritual Head, you become His spiritual embodiment on Earth. He is the spiritual ‘Hand’ and you are His spiritual ‘glove.’ This working relationship transforms and takes us far beyond our original decapitated state and empowers us to abide intimately with God as His Word’s living image and likeness. Our union and identification with our Master that God’s Eternal Covenant makes possible frees us from the Serpent’s coils and murderous domination. God spiritually regenerates us as His sons (both men and women alike) and full-fledged co-heirs with God’s Word and citizens of His eternal Kingdom. This separates us from the world system and the Holy Spirit no longer allows us to think and live as the demon-oppressed citizens of the world do. God trains us to be part of His Invasion force that is taking back every speck of God’s Creation that the Serpent once usurped. And so disciples are very different from all the rest, in their nature, spiritual faculties, focus, purpose and motives. For disciples, God’s living Word is their ALL…in all things…and at all times.
Once God’s Authority is established in the disciples, they serve as ‘points of entry’ through which God’s Word and Spirit enter, live and operate in this world. They are God’s ‘bases of operation’ from which He continues to reach out to Head-less humans, calling them back to full reconciliation with Him while there is still time for them to repent and be saved.
None of this happens until we give total acknowledgement, exaltation and enthronement over our hearts and lives to God’s Word. Once we heed His “Follow Me” summons, we must die to our former radically independent self-life, so that His Resurrection Life can become ours as well.
“Hear (obey), O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” (Deuteronomy 6:4-9 Emphasis added.)
“At that time, the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to serve Him and to bless (the others) in His Name until this day. Therefore, Levi does not have a portion or inheritance with his brothers; the LORD is his inheritance, just as the LORD your God spoke (promised) to him.)” (Deuteronomy 10:8-9)
“This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for those who disbelieve, ‘THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE VERY CORNER stone,’ and, ‘A STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE’; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the Word, and to this doom they were also appointed.
“But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” (1 Peter 2:7-10 Emphasis added.)
God Does Not Focus on ‘Right & ‘Wrong’ or ‘Good & Bad’
The world system considers itself to be ‘good’ and ‘complete’ by nature. Head-lessness is the ‘normal’ situation and standard of its citizens. From that comes a God-less way of seeing, thinking, judging and rating human significance, value and worth. It is the way that decapitated ‘living dead’ people habitually see themselves. They have no Heavenly spiritual life or activity in them. So they must live by their soulish intellects, wills, imaginations and fleshly appetites at a level similar to that of highly trained animals. That mode of existence lasts for a few decades, the time they have in which to make a name and place for themselves in headless human history. Then when their mortal bodies finally wear out and fail entirely, they ‘give up the ghost’ and what is left of them enters eternity to come to grips with God’s awesome Reality, Truth and Final Judgment.
Head-less people are, by essence selfish, self-serving and therefore, predatory. They judge people and things according to the false, worldly performance-rating scale of ‘1 to 10.’ That subjective scale, chosen by those that happen to be ‘the powers that be’ of any given, passing age, rates you according to the subjective likes and dislikes of those that get to determine what those ever-changing, relative values may currently be. If you perform according to those standards, you may be rated fairly high on the scale…perhaps between 6 or 8. And if you perform at a nearly super-human level, you may receive a 9 or even 10! All are judged by those fickle standards of ‘right’ and ‘wrong’; or ‘good’ and ‘bad.’ And you derive your value, merit and worth from that…until you can no longer perform at your former levels and someone else shoves you aside and takes your place and leaves you behind, and forgotten.
God’s Measurement is – Are you Alive, or are you Dead?
God’s way of judging is vastly different. In His Kingdom rightness or wrongness and good or bad cannot be assessed until something else is determined first. For God, the question is: ‘Are you alive; or are you dead?’ In other words, ‘Does your activity originate with The Head (My living Word and Holy Spirit); or does it come from a dead, decapitated source?’ In God’s sight, humans who remain disconnected from His living Word are disobedient to their Creator. And because they reject God’s Word, they are therefore, disconnected or decapitated, and therefore, ‘Head-less.’ God numbers such people as being among the ‘living dead’ – the ‘offspring of the Serpent’ spawned by his anti-God rebellion.
God has nothing to do with the Serpent or his living death or anything that comes from them. Death is the result of radical independence from the Creator. It is the absence of God-Life. So how, or why, could God ever have any connection with that?
Only if we originate from and share in and embody the Life and initiatives of His Word and Spirit, can we be ‘alive’ to God. In that case, His Activity and Life work in us and flow out from us and we truly are in a position to serve Him as His image and likeness. And the fruit that comes from that union is God’s fruit, not ours. And that is what makes it ‘right and good.’ This is why God’s living Word told His original disciples:
“I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the Word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am The Vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing! If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.” (John 15:1-11 Emphasis added.)
So the challenge is this: ‘Do you choose obedience or disobedience to God’s Word? As you choose between those two alternatives, you are choosing Life or Death!’ God summons us to repent of rebellious disobedience to, and separation from, His Word and Spirit. He commands us to submit without any compromise to His Word’s absolute Authority and to allow Him to reconnect us to Himself, so God can become our eternal Life, Righteousness and Fruitfulness and we can be His image and likeness. This is what the Bible reveals. And this is the ultimate issue every human must face. And those called to discipleship by God’s Word must be trained to embody what being connected to The Head entails and produces. We’re not right with God until we’re truly one with His living Word and abide and operate in resting trust under His Authority, Credibility and Lordship. God’s Word cannot be our Savior unless we first make Him our Lord, Master and Owner! And this ‘ownership’ is the issue that continues to be more fully explained and developed throughout the rest of the Bible. That’s why God’s living Word made flesh said this to His original disciples:
“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way where I am going.’ Thomas said to Him, ‘Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?’ Jesus said to him, ‘I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.” (John 14:1-7 Emphasis added.)
This life or death issue is first spelled out for the human race in the first five books of the Bible, the Torah (Pentateuch). The revelation of God, His nature and His ways given therein is the bedrock, granite-solid foundation upon which each human life must be based. It is God’s Truth and Reality and standard of Righteousness, revealed and spelled out in terms we can understand and to which we can respond. The Messiah of Israel was alluding to this when He said:
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit (obedience to God’s Word), but the bad tree bears bad fruit (disobedience to God’s Word). A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every (Head-less) tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’ (Torah-less disobedience)
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. Belonging to some ‘world religion’ cannot and will not save us. It is not enough to follow man-devised theologies and submit to organized religious systems that are run and controlled by men. Nor is it enough to perform what men consider to be, ‘good’ deeds and to avoid ‘bad’ deeds. All of that can be done by self-disciplined, highly-trained ‘Head-less’ people! Nothing can take the place of our one and only true Head and Lord and the perfect finished work of Redemption He has done on our behalf. Only our response to His Reality and Absolute Authority will determine whether or not we are ‘alive’ or ‘dead’ and ‘saved’ or ‘lost’. He is the only Source of eternal Life. Only He is the Way back to the Father. He is the Truth that leads to eternal Life. So only if we’re alive in Him, and He lives and works in us, can anything that comes out of us be ‘good’ or ‘right.’
The living Word of God is the one who has been from the beginning. He is the Beginning (Uncreated Source) and the End (Final Eternal Destination). He became flesh and dwelt among us to serve as the perfect Lamb of God who takes away the Sin of the world (John 1:29). His Name is Yeshua, which is the Hebrew Biblical name for – God is Salvation! Apart from Him, there is no salvation! That is the changeless uncompromising proclamation of the Bible. And men will deny it or try to change it or ignore it at their own eternal peril. Headless men may falter at His summons or try to explain it away and substitute their meaningless alternatives, but the living Word of God is the same yesterday, today and forever! (Hebrews 13:7-8) And God will get the last Word!
