Beloved Family…there is a feature of the Lord’s Blood Covenant mentality and Kingdom of Heaven culture about which many of us remain greatly unaware. I don’t say this in a critical, angry, or accusatory spirit. I am merely stating a fact.
The reasons behind this crippling level of ignorance are the products of long-standing historical realities that our modern generations did not cause; but we have inherited them, and we have been deeply affected by them. But now however, because we’re obviously so close to the end of the age, I believe our Heavenly Father is, because of His Perfection and Everlasting Faithfulness to His Word, and the Covenant He made with His people, in the process of setting everything straight. He’s resolving and finishing all pending issues so that His Kingdom on Earth can be fully and eternally established once and for all. So whatever is still wrong or false in God’s estimation will be corrected and brought into perfect alignment with His mind, will, and standards. And all of the promises He made to us as His Word’s corporate body, will, in this final era, be fulfilled at last, to Perfection. So I ask you to ponder the depths of meaning contained within this text:
“And what more shall I say? For time would fail me if I tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets. By faith they conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, and made foreign armies flee.
Women received their dead raised back to life; and others were tortured, after not accepting release, so they might obtain a better resurrection. Others experienced the trial of mocking and scourging—yes, and even chains and prison. They were stoned, they were sawed in two, they were murdered with the sword. They went around in sheepskins and goatskins; they were destitute, afflicted, mistreated. The world was not worthy of them! They wandered around in deserts and mountains, caves and holes in the ground. And all these, THOUGH COMMENDED FOR THEIR FAITH, DID NOT RECEIVE WHAT WAS PROMISED…”
(Hebrews 11:32-39 TLV, Emphasis added.)
If we stop right here, we’re left with a horrible problem! If the end of the lifetimes of these faithful servants of God is the end of their story, then something is terribly wrong! If the saints of God who went before us were truly giants of the Faith in their day, and yet did not, in their lifetime, receive the blessing of experiencing God’s full Lovingkindness or have their prayers answered before they died, what good did their faithful obedience do them? Wasn’t the fact that they died without God answering their prayers and fulfilling His promises to them proof that something is woefully wrong with God?
But of course, the answer to those questions is: “Not so fast! Don’t jump to vain conclusions! This isn’t the end of the story!” Now let’s read the last sentence of Hebrews chapter 11. It changes everything! Here’s what it says:
“… BECAUSE GOD HAD PROVIDED SOMETHING BETTER FOR US, SO THAT ONLY WITH US WOULD THEY REACH PERFECTION!” (Hebrews 11:40 TLV, Emphasis added.)
Beloved, can you see the incredibly awesome Blood Covenant Truth that Holy Spirit is revealing with these words? Can you spot the depth of meaning concerning the Reality of the Heavenly Blood Covenant Union that all believers enjoy with God and with each other? The Word is pointing out to us the marvelous fact that we are all one, because of God’s mysterious Blood Covenant ways! And, therefore, we who live in the Last Days Era… are forever linked and united to the faithful generations that came before us in the timeline of human history! That chain of unity takes us back all the way to Adam, the first human being God created! So let’s take a deeper look at this!
We know that our generation has been chosen by God to live and operate in the midst of this final age of human history. Through those of us who are disciples of His Living resurrected Word, our Father will finalize every still-pending issue of human history. And we will be witnesses to the glorious climax of the tremendous story of God’s Creation, Redemption, and Full Restoration of all that He has made! This is why we must receive adequate instruction concerning the importance of our generation’s role of expediting what God will be doing at the end, by helping unsuspecting people that do not know Him, to begin to see what He’s doing and why it has to be done. Not only those around us, but also every previous generation, and all the hosts of Heaven will be anxiously waiting to see the returns that will reveal how we will have fulfilled our God-given commissions and specific tasks!
If we don’t learn our boot camp lessons well, we’ll fail to use our God-given spiritual equipment that is meant to enable us to comprehend what we read in the written Word and perceive what Holy Spirit is saying to us. So we must receive the full meaning and impact of God’s Blood Covenant mind, and the ways in which He has chosen to deal with our sin-loving, corrupted, fatally wounded human race! But beloved, unfortunately, we were born into, and raised within, one of history’s most self-adoring, individualistic-minded eras! Our fallen Sin-corrupted flesh nature, and our broken world’s cultures have formed and molded us to be selfish, self-centered, rebellious, manipulative, predatory, hyper-controlling, and self-destructive! This is true also of the modern believing Jews and Gentiles of our generation. We are, for the most part, humanistic individualistic-minded people! So we begin life being ill-equipped and unprepared to be able to comprehend the incredible meaning and goodness of what God has done for us through His Blood Covenant Pattern. So now it behooves us to begin to grasp as much of the profound depths of the meaning of what God is doing, as we possibly can.
The letter to the Hebrews from which our text is taken was written by, and intended for, ancient Israelite people who were born, bred and raised in the mentality, culture, and tradition patterns from which the Hebrew Scriptures (the Tanach) emerged. So they were marinated in the Blood Covenant atmosphere, culture, mentality and lifestyle that God had taught to their forefathers and that had been developed and preserved throughout the eras of previous Israelite history, dating back even before the days of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob! For that reason, they were ‘Blood Covenant people.’ They had a profound understanding of the dynamics, parameters, requirements, and taboos connected with the Blood Covenant lifestyle and worldview.
The Absolute Necessity of the Eternal Blood Covenant
But we modern day Humanistic-minded people fail to miss the wealth of Blood Covenant meaning and significance that permeated the lives of our ancient forbearers. A great example of our ignorance can be seen from our inability to understand what God is saying in Hebrews 11, for example. We who are so self-absorbed and individualistic in mentality and lifestyle fail to understand that the Bible is an official, God-authored Blood Covenant Document that chronicles the way by which our Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer chose to deal with us in order to make up for our fall into the clutches of Sin, Death, and Eternal Destruction, and the lethal guilt, condemnation, and death sentence to which our fall has condemned us!
God has done everything necessary to right all the wrongs and reverse and undo all of the damage we have suffered! Now it’s time for Him to insure that we will be able to enjoy the indescribably glorious Resurrection miracle that will soon restore us all to the original glory and beauty and goodness of the eternal destiny He has always had in mind to bestow upon us. So beloved, please do not allow yourself to remain ignorant of what our God has done on our behalf, and how His Blood Covenant Pattern works. He will use no other pattern; there is no other way by which we can know the mind and heart of God. God never changes His mind in mid-campaign! He is here to finish what he started so long ago. So we who will serve His Word as disciples, must know these things. We must learn to cooperate with Holy Spirit and allow Him to align us properly with what He is here to do in us, through us, and for us. And after we’re properly aligned, we must learn to ‘keep in step’ with Him, as He leads us into the Joy and Glory of what God has waiting for those who are His own… just up ahead. It won’t be long now dear ones… So let’s get ready for action.
At this time, as Holy Spirit is taking us through His Last Days disciple training boot camp regimen, one major lesson we must learn and master is to master the skill of being able to recognize, embrace, absorb, and master God’s Blood Covenant worldview, and go with the flow of how His Covenant Pattern works. We must learn and master the Word-obedient, Spirit-led lifestyle our Covenant Union with God will require of all of us. It is only by and through this awesome Covenant Pattern that God will guide His people out of their bondage to Satan, Sin, and Death… and into the Full and Final Total Restoration and Eternal Life of His beautiful Creation. So, thanks to this gloriously beautiful Pattern, God is in the process of transforming us from our original state of being His enemies… to our ultimate destination of living, acting, reacting, and interacting as full-fledged ‘sons and vice regents’ of our Heavenly Father… and citizens and warriors of His Kingdom… as He deploys us all across our earthly home and base of operations!
In the days that lie ahead of us, God’s people, and the rest of Creation, will see God begin to ‘cross every ‘T’ and ‘dot every ‘I’ and fulfill each and every promise He has ever made to each portion and generation of His Creation! His Living Word, our Messiah, will be fully vindicated! And, as I’ve said many times before, I believe that people who are alive today are being entrusted with the glorious task of preparing the way for the Return of the Lord of Glory and his total Takeover across all of the Earth and the entirety of Creation. And those of us who make up the Last Days generation will see how God fulfills every one of His promises and completes every one of Israel’s pending issues, and those of the rest of the human race besides. He will soon finalize and answer every question that remains a mystery to this day. And all of it will be done according to His Eternal Blood Covenant with Israel.
So let’s begin to learn what we need to know by digging into Hebrews chapter 11. We’ve learned in the past that the Blood Covenant Pattern God introduced to the world is corporate in nature. In other words, it doesn’t deal specifically with individual humans, as separate individuals. It deals with all human beings as members of a unified corporate body… a Family. So, very often, in the original languages of Scripture, Hebrew and Greek, when God refers to us in some way, He very often uses the plural form of the word, ‘you’. If we view His interactions with us through a military lens, God is addressing an entire combat unit rather than dealing with each member of that group as a separate individual. For example, how many of us have felt outraged when we learned that because Adam sinned, long before we were born, all the rest of us humans inherited the blame, guilt, and condemnation that was his? How could that be fair? We were not even born when all of that happened!
Our Self-absorbed, individualistic mindsets prevent us from understanding God’s ways. And so, when we think about being pleasing to God ourselves, and meeting His standards of righteousness and justice, we naturally assume that all of that titanic amount of ‘earning His approval and acceptance’ will also be up to us. So we fail to understand the dynamics of the original problem of Sin, and we also fail to understand the dynamics involved with the final solution. Why? We fail to get it because we don’t realize God deals with all of us through the means of two unique Blood Covenant Representatives… Adam, and Messiah Yeshua, who is the ‘Last Adam’. Many people from our self-centered individualistic modern society, fail to understand this because we fail to understand that a Blood Covenant Pattern causes the many to become ONE. So each uninstructed individual that reads Bible translations will interpret what is said as if it were being specifically addressed to ‘ME’. But in a great many of the cases, God is not speaking in the singular person. He’s not talking to ‘ME’ He’s actually addressing ‘US’… the entire plural corporate body!
So God sees and deals with us as a whole Family, His Family. He created us all… and died for us all… and He loves and wants to be with us all! That’s why He doesn’t play favorites, or treat any of us in ways that are more loving, considerate and special than He treats any of His other beloved humans. In Luke 15 we read the parable of the ‘Prodigal Son’, and many of us tend to interpret it in a purely self-absorbed, individualistic Western way. And, in fact, that’s exactly the way the two brothers in the parable were also viewing what was happening to them:
“Now his older son was out in the field. And as he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. And he called out to one of the servants and began to ask what these things could be
“The servant said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf because he got him back safe and sound.’ “But the older son was angry and didn’t want to go in. So his father came outside and pleaded with him. But he answered and said to his father, ‘Look, so many years I’ve slaved away for you—not once did I ignore your order. Yet you’ve never given me a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours came—the one who has squandered your wealth with prostitutes—for him you killed the fattened calf!” (Luke 15:25-30 TLV, Emphasis added.)
Both of the sons were suffering from the same kind of ‘perceptual cataracts’ common to the natural self-adoring human ‘me first’ perspective. Both of them were forever united to each other in an eternal Blood Covenant Bond! Nevertheless they viewed themselves and their situations in individualistic, anti-family, non-covenantal terms. The prodigal wrangled his portion of his father’s inheritance prematurely so he could squander it exclusively on himself. He never gave a thought to what that would mean to the other family members with whom he was forever united. And his elder brother was also viewing himself as a separate, highly offended, self-absorbed individual. He saw himself as separate from his wayward brother and viewed him as if he were an enemy competitor! So both of them were greatly misguided and dead wrong, according to God’s Blood Covenant mind and heart! So the father set straight the perspective of the elder son with these words:
“Then the father said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and everything that is mine is yours. But it was right to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead but has come back to life! He was lost, but is found!’” (Luke 15:31-32 TLV, Emphasis added.)
Do you see what the Father was saying?
‘Son, why are you not thinking about and showing deep concern and tender love for our FAMILY? Both of you are still in the habit of thinking only about yourselves and you have both completely missed the point! Are you not both true parts of our Blood Covenant Family? Will you continue to insist on thinking about and caring, and living only for yourselves?
‘I love you both as I love myself! Therefore I do not favor one member of my family and place them above any of the others! I view us all as ONE! We sink or swim together! Where we go one, we go all! Stop thinking only about yourself. You are not a waif or an orphan! You will forever be beloved, priceless, irreplaceable members of our Family and Household! So stop forsaking our Family and our Family interests! Stop forsaking each other! Our love and loyalty to each other will always be necessary in order to protect and preserve our shared Source of Life, Protection, Provision, and Wellbeing!’
So dear ones, I ask you to start looking at the pertinent covenantal portions of Scripture in a brand new way. When you read about the Blood Covenant Bond that God entered into with Adam… and with Noah… and with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob… and with the children of Israel throughout their generations… and with all the families of the earth, through His beloved Word made flesh, Yeshua… put yourself and your loved ones, and everyone and everything that pertains to you personally, past, present and future… right into the middle of what took place between God and your Hebrew and non-Hebrew ancestors in the Faith. God has grafted those who embrace, believe and obey His Living and written Word, into His Eternal Covenant Family Root! This is how He sees every one of His Son’s beloved disciples… including you! We are all one. There are to be no radically independent ‘lone rangers’ in our midst. We sink or swim together!
So include yourself and all that pertains to you in the awesome Covenant Bond that God established with your forbearers in the Bible texts. Yes, we must do this… because that’s how God sees you and me and all the rest of us!
We Are full-fledged Members of ‘The Covenant Family and Household of God’!
“But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. For you are all sons of God through trusting in Messiah Yeshua. For all of you who were immersed in Messiah have clothed yourselves with Messiah. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female—for you are all one in Messiah Yeshua. And if you belong to Messiah, then you are Abraham’s seed—heirs according to the promise!” (Galatians 3: 25-29 TLV, Emphasis added.)
“If the first fruit is holy, so is the whole batch of dough; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. But if some of the branches were broken off and you—being a wild olive—were grafted in among them and became a partaker of the root of the olive tree with its richness, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, it is not you who support the root but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” True enough. They were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear—for if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will He spare you.
Notice then the kindness and severity of God:
Severity toward those who fell; but God’s kindness toward you, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you too will be cut off!
And they also, if they do not continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in; for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut out of that which by nature is a wild olive tree, and grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these natural branches be grafted into their own olive tree?
For I do not want you, brothers and sisters, to be ignorant of this mystery—lest you be wise in your own eyes—that a partial hardening has come upon Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written,
“The Deliverer shall come out of Zion. He shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob. And this is My covenant with them, WHEN I TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS!”
Concerning the Good News, they are hostile for your sake; but concerning chosenness, they are loved on account of the fathers—for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For just as you once were disobedient to God but now have been shown mercy because of their disobedience, in like manner these also have now been disobedient with the result that, because of the mercy shown to you, they also may receive mercy. For God has shut up all in disobedience, so that He might show mercy to all!” (Romans 11:16-32 TLV, Emphasis added.)
Beloved, beware of Man-adoring, Self-absorbed, radically individualistic seeing, thinking, and living! That is the venom that the Serpent managed to inject into our first parents. That is what caused all of us to fall into the depths of bondage to Satan, Sin, Strife, Destruction, Death and Eternal Perdition! Don’t allow anyone or anything to lure you away from your Messiah’s ‘Flock’ of Covenant Family members! Don’t allow the enemies of God to isolate you and tempt you to come out of and away from the Total Protection and Provision of our New Covenant birthright!
“But understand this, that in the last days hard times will come—for people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, hardhearted, unforgiving, backbiting, without self-control, brutal, hating what is good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to an outward form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people!” (2 Timothy 3:1-5 TLV)
So… let’s take another look at what the Lord was saying to us in Hebrews 11:
“… They were stoned, they were sawed in two, they were murdered with the sword. They went around in sheepskins and goatskins; they were destitute, afflicted, mistreated. The world was not worthy of them! They wandered around in deserts and mountains, caves and holes in the ground. And all these, though commended for their faith, did not receive what was promised… BECAUSE GOD HAD PROVIDED SOMETHING BETTER FOR US, SO THAT ONLY WITH US WOULD THEY REACH PERFECTION!” (Hebrews 11:37-39 TLV. Emphasis added.)
Now can you see that those faithful forbearers of the Faith were always connected to you… and you to them… in the Blood Covenant mind, heart, mentality and plan of God? Because God made us all to be one through Adam, when Adam sinned and fell… we sinned and fell with him; not in ourselves… but IN him! He was our first Blood Covenant Representative! God made all of his offspring to be one with Him in His eternal Covenant mind! He saw to it that we all sinned and fell together in Adam… because later, He planned to send His beloved Son, the Living Word of God made flesh, to represent all of us, of every generation, in His Eternal Covenant as ‘The Last Adam’… our Ultimate, Eternal Blood Covenant Representative!
“For I delight in loyalty and not sacrifice, knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. But like Adam, they transgressed a covenant.”(Hosea 6:6-7 TLV, Emphasis added.)
“For if by the one man’s transgression, death reigned through the one, how much more shall those who receive the overflow of grace and the gift of Righteousness reign in Life through the One (redemptive Covenant Representative for the human race), Messiah Yeshua.
So then, through the transgression of one, condemnation came to all men; likewise, through the righteousness of one came righteousness of life to all men. For just as through the disobedience of one man, many were made sinners, so also THROUGH THE OBEDIENCE OF ONE MAN, MANY WILL BE SET RIGHT FOREVER!” (Romans 5:17-21 TLV, Amplification and emphasis added.
So beloved… what does all of this mean for us, personally, in our individual and corporate experiences? God wants you and me, and all the rest of us, to start seeing things ‘through Blood Covenant eyes’ just as He sees them. Until He reveals His Covenant ways to us, we operate from a completely alien, and grossly incorrect earthly paradigm that is directly opposite and opposed to His understanding and actual purposes!
“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous one his thoughts, let him return to Adonai, so He may have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways.” It is a declaration of Adonai!” (Isaiah 55:7-8 TLV, Emphasis added.)
When we can finally catch on to Father’s Covenant Pattern, we’ll see that we’re all connected, in a very real and vital way, to all the family members that came before us, all the way back to Adam! And, we’re also connected for the same reason, to all the family members that come after us… all the way to the end of this age! In other words, we’re one Family, we’re all in this together. Whether we’re aware of each other or not, and whether we even care about each other or not, the fact remains: We Are All One Family! You are one with your ancestors, and one with those that follow you! And this is why God commands us all to repent of our Adamic covenantal violation and enmity against God, and allow Him to clothe and adorn us all with His Perfect Redemption, Purification, and Full Restoration to our original Family of God status… in and through the Last Adam… Messiah Yeshua!
“‘… You shall love Adonai your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire Torah and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” (Matthew 19:37-40 TLV, Emphasis added.)
We must realize that not only were we made to think, act, and live as one with God, but we’re also intended to live and serve God as one with all the humans that came before us, and those that will come after us, for God created us to be His one Holy, Blessed Family! And this has special meaning and significance for those of us who have been chosen to serve the Lord in these Last Days. We’re living in the Era when Almighty God is in the process of completing and finishing everything off — everything having to do with the full Redemption, Purification, and Restoration of His Sin-damaged Creation. In our time, whatever remains unfinished from the past is now in the process of being completed and fulfilled to Perfection!
So, in this sense, our generation is assigned to ‘run the anchor leg’ of humanity’s generational ‘relay race.’ The race will end as soon as we’ve run our lap and have crossed the Finish Line. And, whenever anchor runners in relay races run the final lap of the race and cross the finish line, they bring all their teammates, those who ran the previous laps, across the finish line with them! It’s as if they are one person! And since it’s up to us to run the final lap, and since what happens during that last lap will determine the final outcome of the entire race, those who ran the laps before ours must wait until we cross the line to see what happens to them. So whatever results we end up with, will then be shared by all the others who are part of our team.
God’s Covenant Pattern Covers All Generations
This is why the answers and outcomes many of the Godly, Spirit-led prayers, hopes and aspirations of those who went before us seemed to have gone unanswered during their lifetimes. God’s answer in many cases could not be given just to them, because the issues in question did not just include them, they included all of us! And so, only after the anchor lap has finally been completed, will our entire team be able to enjoy the glorious results of the Total Triumph of our Eternal Blood Covenant Representative, the risen Lord of Glory! It appeared as if they ran their laps as individuals… but in the Covenant sense… we were IN them… and when we run our lap… they will be IN us… because God has put all of us IN OUR MESSIAH!
“Therefore, if you have been raised up with Messiah, keep seeking the things above—where Messiah is, sitting at the right hand of God. Focus your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Messiah in God. When Messiah, who is your (individual and corporate covenantal) Life, is revealed (on the victory stand), then (all of) you also will be revealed with Him, in Glory! (Colossians 3:1-4 TLV, Emphasis added.)
So beloved, we must keep what we read about in Hebrews 11 and 12 always in mind. We’re going to see God do amazing things for His people in these last days, things that the saints before us were not able to see during their lifetimes! Nevertheless, our beloved Covenant Representative and Champion will fulfill everything that Father has revealed, commanded, and promised to Him, and to those of us who are IN Him ever since the very beginning! Only those who adamantly refuse to abide according to God’s Truth and His ways will exclude themselves from this awesome Covenant Family. But those who will believe and comply, will know their God… and see the entirety of the Awesome, Beautiful, Totally Satisfying Complete Covenant Inheritance at last… as soon as the final ‘anchor generation’ has finally followed our Messiah across the Final Finish Line!
So we’re taking all of our ancestors with us… as we follow our Lord on the last lap of this race. And then we’ll all enter into the final Outcome that will begin the moment He breaks the tape and brings us with Him across that Line. THEN… everyone will see what the blood, sweat, tears and straining effort to persevere all the way to the end were leading up to. And we will all be part of the Fulfillment and Joy, and Eternal Inheritance that God has had waiting to bestow upon all those of us who have believed, known, loved, and served Him in our allotted days.
Consider all the apparently unanswered prayers that many uttered in the past. Consider all the apparently unfinished business that continued to hang over their heads even as they breathed their last. Had God forgotten about them? Did He fail to be faithful and true to them? No, of course not! He was planning on waiting until He could finish everything off for them… and for succeeding generations… all together… in one glorious crescendo and climactic Family Triumph! What He had for the earlier generations was also for the final generations. And so He is waiting until all the returns are in… so we can all receive our Awesome Eternal Reward… together!
God’s Blood Covenant Family has always been a team of relay racers. The race began with Adam and his immediately family running the ‘first lap’. Then they handed the baton to the next generation, and they handed it off to the one that followed, etc., etc. And the baton was handed off successively from generation to generation thereafter. And throughout the course of the centuries… the baton was finally handed off to Messiah Yeshua, the Last Adam. And because He too was designated by His Father to serve as our Redemptive Blood Covenant Representative, IN HIM, we all totally defeated the Serpent, and his powers of Darkness, and destroyed the hold and the power they used to hold over all of us before He atoned for our individual and collective Sin and set us free from all of Sin’s consequences.
Beloved friends… He did all of that in the first century! And so His generation was able to know the beginning dawn-like streaks of what His Victory meant, before it was time for them to hand off the baton to the generation that followed. But even before the race began… the struggle between the Family of the Serpent and the Family of God had already been decided. The Last Adam crushed the head of the Serpent since before the foundation of this world! And so, the results of the race had already been decided from that point forward… even though there were still many laps remaining to be run before the human race reached the conclusion of its part in the race.
But now, finally, our generation is in the process of running the ‘bell lap’… the final lap of this cosmic relay race. But the baton that we began with is suddenly transforming into a flaming torch! And our Messiah will cause the fire we’re carrying to ignite everything around us and spread out in all directions past, present, and future! And as He crosses the Finish Line, with us following, He will unleash the Ultimate Glorious Conclusion of this tear-ridden pain-filled age.
“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. On that day the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the elements will melt and disintegrate, and the earth and everything done on it shall be exposed. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what kind of people should you be? Live your lives in holiness and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God. In that day the heavens will be dissolved BY FIRE, and the elements will melt in the intense heat. But in keeping with His promise, we look for new Heavens and a new Earth, where Righteousness dwells.” (2 Peter 3:10-13 TLV, Emphasis added.)
So as soon as our Messiah crosses the line… we who have been placed IN Him, along with those precious saints that lived and died before us, will also cross that Line and all of God’s beautiful Blood Covenant Family will all cross the Line with us… IN OUR MESSIAH! And we’ll stand on the winners’ platform as the anthem of our Heavenly Father’s Eternal Kingdom is played and sung by all the beautiful sounds of God’s totally Restored Creation. And the glorious strains will reverberate on and on and on… for our Father’s Everlasting Glory… and the Endless and Boundless Good of His beloved Family… throughout all of Eternity
