God’s Eternal Blood Covenant Pattern
Lord, Open Our Covenant Eyes That We May See – Part 2
Our commission as Yeshua’s Last Days disciples requires us to embody His Perfect Indwelling Presence, and to reflect and radiate His Fruit-producing Activity into the world around us. And beloved, the awesome spine-tingling Reality that will underlie that sort of Testimony is what will most assuredly pierce hearts and snap spiritually comatose people out of their lack of awareness. The revelation of His Truth and electrifying Presence is what it will take to affect the world around us and determine the nature of how they will respond when we draw near to them.
“At the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were taking place among the people; and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s portico. But none of the rest dared to associate with them; however, the people held them in high esteem. And all the more believers in the Lord, multitudes of men and women, were constantly added to their number, to such an extent that they even carried the sick out into the streets and laid them on cots and pallets, so that when Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on any one of them.
“Also the people from the cities in the vicinity of Jerusalem were coming together, bringing people who were sick or afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all being healed.” (Acts 5:12-16)
“Let love be without hypocrisy—detesting what is evil, holding fast to the good (Let the fact that you are not of this world be evident. Do not try to come across as ‘belonging to the crowd’ or being ‘one of the gang.’ Be who and what you really are. Let the unbelievers see you and your Blood brothers) Be tenderly devoted to one another in brotherly love; outdo one another in giving honor. Do not be lagging in zeal; be fervent in spirit. Keep serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, enduring in distress, persisting in prayer, contributing to the needs of the kedoshim, extending hospitality.
“Bless those who persecute you—bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another; do not be proud, but associate with the lowly (while the world around you observes you). Do not be wise in your own eyes. Repay no one evil for evil; give thought to what is good in the eyes of all people. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live in shalom with all people. Never take your own revenge, loved ones, but give room for God’s wrath—for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay,” says Adonai. Rather, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink. For by doing so, you will heap coals of fire (conviction of his personal sin) upon his head.” DO NOT BE OVERCOME BY (the worldly) EVIL (that swirls all around you), BUT OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD (that your indwelling Lord is here to do in you and through you)!” (Romans 12:9-21 TLV. Amplification and emphasis added.)
So, as you interact with the unbelieving people around you, let it be known that you and the believers are a different ‘breed’ of human beings. Let them know that you are not at all as they are. Be bold in demonstrating and proclaiming the Glory and Beauty of the Life of your Messiah who actually lives within you! How can you do that? You’ll do it if you allow them to see the awesome Love of God circulating in your midst, from disciple to disciple. This is the only real and convincing way you can testify to the Reality that God is in your flesh, and in the midst of all your brothers and sisters in the Faith! The obvious supernatural Fruit springing up within you and all around you and your brethren, is what will prove to the world that the Lord has truly risen from the dead. And it proves that He is actually there, in and with you, and that He is revealing Himself to the others… through you! This is the only true and valid and authentic testimony – the demonstration of the enormous difference between the Life of the Last Adam that is in you and your kind, as opposed to the effects of the life of the First Adam that is in them, and their kind. The enormously huge difference between the two groups will speak for itself! And nothing short of that will do.
The Indwelling Presence of The Holy Spirit Shining Through His Last Days Disciples
This is why God has equipped us with the indwelling Holy Spirit! He empowers and fills us to render it possible for us to embody our risen Lord’s Presence in the presence of those who belong to this fallen world. The obvious manifestations of Yeshua is what will make us to be very different. And that will reveal the fact that something enormously supernatural has happened to us and it will explain why we have not been the same since it happened. And then… we’ll have the right to share that we too were once just like they now are! And perhaps some of us were even much worse off than they are at present! Yes, we too were blind and deaf and totally unable to see, hear or understand the Truth that flows into this world from Almighty God. We too were once God’s enemies who opposed and fought against His Word, and tried to tear down His Message. But now… we are His image and likeness!
So at first, we will be frightening and unbelievably threatening to most of those who will be around us. But, as we begin to speak and act in their presence, and they begin to see that we intend them no harm, but are there to bless them… they will begin to relax and relate to our non-threatening demeanor. And we will arouse their curiosity, and they will begin to listen and seek for answers. And then… we can begin to share the amazing, overwhelming things that happened to us, and to our other brethren… by the Awesome Grace and Mercy of God. We can tell them about the inexplicable SHOCK and AWAKENING that suddenly took place in our heart of hearts… and how that sudden flash of inner illumination suddenly changed the workings of our inner control panels and ‘onboard computers.’ We can explain about the brand new ‘Operating System’ that God gives to those who believe and embrace His Living Word, Yeshua (Jesus), and we can let them know that it is He who equips you and the others to be brand new creations!
And we’ll also be able to tell them about the massive ‘downloads’ that we now receive from the Spirit of God containing enormous amounts of new Heavenly data and brand new levels of information we never could have imagined possible before. You can tell them what it is like to suddenly have new rows of lights beginning to flash on across all our inner control panels… and how the Presence of God within us significantly increases our capacity to know what is really going on in this world. And we will be able to demonstrate to them how God has completely ‘UPGRADED’ our minds and hearts and now empowers us and our brethren to do things that were never possible for us to do before!
This is how the Last Days disciples will be able to proclaim God’s Truth. And this will demonstrate to the world that all of this is the doing of Almighty God. He will make all of these changes take place within us! Once He is free to work in us… He’ll be free to begin to also work through us! And working with and FROM Him will lead us onto brand new course headings that were impossible for us in the past. His Presence will carry and impel us to begin to think and act and interact in brand new ways and at altitudes that before were totally beyond our reach. And that will clearly show the vast difference that exists between the two groups of people… those who are His, and those who are not yet His.
“Contagious” Faith In Action
All the time you’re giving them this information, it will not occur to anyone to argue, or accuse, or put anyone down. You will simply be conveying some very good news that will captivate everyone’s attention as more and more people realize that it is available to everyone and anyone, without exception! So, because the Lord’s Presence will be so obvious, we won’t be focusing on the people, nor will the people be focusing on us, or on anything else. We will all remain focused on the testimony that is revealing the Presence and Excellence and Goodness of Almighty God!
And then… as the Holy Spirit leads, you will have earned the right to let everyone know that if they are open to the possibility of receiving it for themselves, you can show them how to ask God to do whatever He has to do to them and in them and for them. He is present to guide their steps and draw them closer to Himself. And they can ask Him to reveal Himself to them, the way He did for us and for so many others. And they can begin to expect God to begin to act on their behalf, and from within their own heart and innermost being too. And they can realize that the differences between you and them are not something to argue or fight over. They are simply a matter of gaining more understanding of our ‘inner workings’ and which of the two kinds of life works better, and which one produces better results, and which one is the most desirable and worth having.
If what they see coming out of you and your brethren speaks to their hearts… they too will be ready to repent. And you and your brethren can show them how ‘to grab the Tent Cord’ of Almighty God… just the way He taught us to do! And they can find out for themselves, how Awesome and Gracious and Loving He wants to be with… and for them also… and for all the rest of the unbelieving peoples of this world!
Many Israelites, thousands upon thousands of them who lived in our Messiah’s day, eventually ended up loving, believing, trusting and following God’s beloved Son, the Word. But… not all of them were ready to do that in the beginning. When our Messiah was traveling throughout Galilee, Samaria and Judea, He was always running into the very same kind of opposition we encounter. Some people saw and heard Him… and they dropped everything and began to follow Him. Why? They did it because they were equipped to ‘see’ and ‘hear’ what the Spirit of God was imparting to them.
But others regarded Him with great suspicion. They did not make the connection between what the Scriptures were revealing and promising, and the Man that stood before them. They had no idea that what had been revealed by God through the Torah and the prophets of Israel, was being fulfilled before their eyes! Therefore, they were not disposed to trust, believe or accept Him, much less follow Him. Some even opposed him bitterly and conspired to bring Him down! So somehow, someway, they had to be shown a different way of seeing and thinking. And that usually happened later… after they saw and experienced Yeshua’s disciples, and recognized the amazing differences between them, and themselves, and the other people like them, who also did not believe. The two groups and the vast differences between them became more and more apparent. And so, more and more people who were ‘sitting on the fence’ and trying to decide what they should do, finally became convinced… and were compelled to admit that the way of the disciples is far superior to the way that the unbelieving world insists on following. And they too began to follow, and abide, IN HIM!
“Yeshua answered, “Amen, amen I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be surprised that I said to you, ‘You all must be born from above.’ The wind blows where it wishes and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit!” (John 3:5-8. Emphasis added.)
“Behold, days are coming” — it is a declaration of Adonai — when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they broke My covenant, though I was a husband to them.” It is a declaration of Adonai.
“But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days”—it is a declaration of Adonai—“I will put My Torah within them. Yes, I will write it on their heart. I will be their God and they will be My people. No longer will a person each teach his neighbor or each his brother, saying: ‘Know Adonai,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest.”
It is a declaration of Adonai. For I will forgive their iniquity, their sin I will remember no more!” (Jeremiah 31:31-34. Emphasis added.)
“Therefore say to the house of Israel, thus says Adonai Elohim: ‘I do not do this for your sake, house of Israel, but for My holy Name, which you profaned among the nations wherever you went. I will sanctify My great Name, which has been profaned among the nations—which you have profaned among them. The nations will know that I am Adonai’”—it is a declaration of Adonai—“‘when I am sanctified in you before their eyes.’”
“‘For I will take you from the nations, gather you out of all the countries and bring you back to your own land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you and you will be clean from all your uncleanness and from all your idols. Moreover I will give you a new heart. I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the stony heart from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Ruach (My Spirit) within you. Then I will cause you to walk in My laws, so you will keep My rulings and do them. Then you will live in the land that I gave to your fathers. You will be My people and I will be your God!” (Ezekiel 36:22-28. TLV. Amplification and emphasis added.)
So notice that the Eternal Covenant Bond that God creates within and among all men goes much deeper than anything else that may unite or divide the fallen sons of the First Adam. They are united or divided by their ethnicity and by the color of their skins, or the nationality and language into which they were born and by which they were bred. They may be united or divided according to gender… or according to sexual preference and lifestyle. They may be united or divided by financial status, or by political affiliation, or by religious denominational preferences. But by contrast with all of that… the Eternal Blood Covenant Bond of God over-rides everything else. The Spirit-imparted Resurrection Life of our risen Lord, instantly unites us to all the others that have that same Life in them, as soon as we receive it ourselves! But the original life we receive when we’re born of our original parents, the First Adam, and Eve, our first mother, by its nature, tends to divide us and sets us at odds with each other. It is only by that natural tendency to be strife-ridden, that all the Self-adoring children of Adam can truly be united.
Opening the Eyes of the Blind
By seeing the differences in us, those around us can grasp the difference between the two groups. And when they see God’s Love circulating in the midst of the disciples, they can begin to understand the Love that compelled God, our Eternal Blood Covenant Friend and Redeemer to do, when the Serpent deceived and attacked and destroyed us all by deceiving our first parents into cutting themselves off from their one and only Source of Life, Protection and Provision… God’s Living Word. He didn’t hate or resent us; He immediately came after us to save and redeem and restore us!
By demonstrating our Lord’s Life as it works within us, we can show the world how God regards us even when we don’t deserve to be loved. And they will more easily understand why God commissioned His Living Word to ‘become flesh’ by taking on our human nature, except for Sin, so that He can legally represent us in God’s New Covenant Rescue and Redemption and Restoration Mission, and restore Creation to what God has always intended it to be. In this way, we can convey the awesome meaning underlying the Blood Covenant Pattern that God chose to use to deal with us and with everything we would ever need from Him to make it possible for us to live and operate with God, as His own Personal image and likeness.
As we mentioned elsewhere… ‘Blood is thicker than milk!’ That saying, which is common to the peoples of the Middle East, from which the Bible emerged, means to say that when people deliberately and freely enter into a blood covenant bond that they did not previously know about before you explained it to them, they will become more aware of the seriousness of their current situation, and will then realize that the depth of this primeval Eternal Bond with our Creator goes much, much deeper than anything else we have ever known about before.
The Covenant Blood of God’s Word, The Lamb of God, can and does override and supersede any other bond we may have inherited purely by natural genetic coding and familial, cultural or linguistic ties. Those earthly bonds are merely temporary ties that are utterly natural to the fallen, Sin-corrupted human race. But God’s Covenant Bond separates us from the Sin-corruption that is in us and all around us. And so He lifts us up and elevates us to another level of Reality altogether! Through that Bond, God makes brand new creations of us… and places destinies before us that we could have never even imagined possible! And this is what it means to be saved, and redeemed, and to ‘walk with God.’ It is to become one with Almighty God, and to have the right to partake of His Eternal Righteousness, Purity, Goodness and Consummated Fulfillment.
“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master. It is enough for the disciple that he become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign the members of his household!
“Therefore do not fear them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops. Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.
“Therefore, everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household.
“He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it. He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me!” (Matthew 10:24-40)
So here’s an example of what a blood covenant bond means even between two fallen human beings who have a profound understanding of the Blood Covenant Pattern and how it works:
If two Middle Eastern men, say an Arab, and a Jew, were to deliberately enter into a blood covenant with each other, that covenant blood bond would be deeper, more powerful and more authoritative and compelling than any of the natural ties each of them inherited by natural birth. We all know about the inherited animosity that has existed between the two groups of people each one of these men represents. There has been ‘bad blood’ between them since the days of Abraham’s two sons, Isaac and Ishmael, as recorded in the book of Genesis!
Nevertheless, the blood covenant bond, if these two Middle Eastern men should choose to enter into it together, would be powerful and authoritative enough to supersede any former ties or entanglements they have previously had in this world. Even though the two had been born and bred by their respective families to consider themselves to be deadly enemies in the past… their new blood bond would override those past histories and alliances. They would have to die to all of that as soon as this new blood bond is established between them. And dear ones, the truth is that today, there are more and more Jews and Arabs that are being united to each other by God’s New Covenant Bond, through their faith in Yeshua, God’s Word made flesh. And they now love and care for each other and work together to serve their Covenant Lord in total peace and harmony, as their number continues to grow!
So, even among fallen, Sin-corrupted human beings who live in this fallen world, the Blood Covenant Pattern is powerful and authoritative enough to heal the past wounds that may have led to any former natural feuds, vendettas, and prejudicial racial or religious animosities that human beings may have embraced and held against each other in the past. Once people enter into this new covenant deliberately and voluntarily… they literally DIE to any former compulsion to identify with the natural bonds to which they were obligated in the past. This new covenant blood bond, which they did not inherit, but into which they entered deliberately and ‘in cold blood’ will always take precedence. From that point forward, the two have become one… and, because they will both receive the awesome gift of a new Resurrection Life from God, not even the death of their bodies can separate them. They will live again, in Yeshua’s Resurrection Glory, and enjoy Eternity together with Him!
So, if mere earthly covenants made by men of this world cause such kindness, consideration and mutual protection to exist between those who enter into them, imagine the awesome benefits provided by the Infinite, Eternal Absolute Authority and Strength of the Blood Bond that Almighty God offers to human beings! It is God, the Creator Himself, who made a Covenant with them, through Adam, who was humanity’s original father! And, after Adam fell and violated that Covenant and fell under the curses and death penalty his violation brought down upon him and his household, God re-introduced His Covenant through Noah and then through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and David. He chose Israel to serve as the ‘womb’ out of which the one who was to Perfectly Fulfill all of those prior covenants… through God’s New and Eternal Covenant that He instituted and launched while He was on Earth during the first century C.E.
From Adam to David, all of God’s Covenant activity was meant to sow the seeds for a magnificent All-encompassing Last Days Harvest. It laid the groundwork and prepared the way for the coming of His own Living Word made flesh, Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel! Through Yeshua, who is the Living Word of God made flesh, God is here to redeem and rescue, perfectly, completely and eternally, every member of His beloved human race! This is some of the awesome Significance of Yeshua of Nazareth… who now rules and reigns as the Resurrected Lord of Glory. And it is into His New Covenant, as The Last Adam, that He has come to include every one of us!
“And Yeshua came up to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, immersing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Ruach ha-Kodesh (the Holy Spirit), teaching them to observe all I have commanded you. And remember! I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 TLV. Amplification and emphasis added.)
Our Invitation Into the Eternal Blood Covenant
Yes, our Heavenly Father offers to each one of us, the invitation to become one with Him through His Word, Yeshua, who has already done everything necessary to restore and regenerate whoever will believe and accept and become one with Him in this New Covenant! Could anything go deeper and be more authoritative and reassuring and compelling than this?
The Blood Bond that God has established is of vital importance for humanity’s peace and wellbeing. Notice that since the dawn of time, our race has been struggling in vain, to ‘solve’ the generational hatreds, prejudices, divisions and vendettas that continually divide the innately selfish, self-centered, rebellious, manipulative, predatory, hyper-controlling and self-destructive peoples of this fallen world.
The Sin-corrupted, mortally wounded human race, as it came to be after the fall of the First Adam, is not what God originally created. It is what the rebellion of the Serpent and his demonic powers of Darkness substituted in place of the authentic original. And, as long as human beings remain legally under the malevolent domination of the Serpent (Satan), the powers of Darkness will stir up and arouse the innate selfishness, greed and fear that is common to all human flesh. And those demonic powers will do whatever they can to continue to stir up those Sin-corrupted human passions, in order to keep men divided by a variety of false discriminations, categories, conflicting sides and movements, philosophies and false religions. This is how they keep people at odds with each other, and this is how they plan to destroy everything that Almighty God has created.
So God’s Plan is not about making peace with the powers of Darkness, nor will He accept that fallen race of the First Adam, as it currently is. None of that came from Him. It is not His property. So His Plan is to transform everything in His Creation, including each and every fallen child of Adam, until they actually conform to and satisfy His original blueprint specifications!
He intends to make brand new God-approved beings of us who will be worthy and fit to serve as His image and likeness. And that will equip us to allow God Himself to be the Peace and Rest and Love that will abide and operate from within each of us. And in this way, God will become our common and mutual Peace, Unity, Harmony and Security. His Eternal Covenant Love and Faithfulness will be what will finally bind us together and transform us into the one New Man in Messiah that He has always had His heart set on enjoying, and with whom He forever wants to share His Eternal Fullness.
“He did this in order to create in union with himself from the two groups a single new humanity and thus make shalom, and in order to reconcile to God both in a single body by being executed on a stake as a criminal and thus in himself killing that enmity. Also, when he came, he announced as Good News shalom to you far off and shalom to those nearby, news that through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.” (Ephesians 2:15b-17, CJB)
So it’s easy to see why we currently have two vastly different races of humanity on the Earth. One race is the fallen children of the First Adam, and the other race is the regenerated Covenant Family of God… that shares in the Eternal Life and Righteousness of God’s Living Word made flesh! And we can also see that the two groups are headed in opposite directions, to two vastly different eternal destinies! One is destined to abide with God in His Eternal Kingdom, and to interact with Him as His regenerated sons and Covenant friends… and the other is destined to miss out on everything that could have fulfilled and satisfied them and enabled them to be the human beings they were originally intended to be.
“Do not think that I came to bring shalom (peace) on the earth; I did not come to bring shalom, but a sword. For I have come to set ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household!’
“He who loves father or mother more than Me isn’t worthy of Me, and he who loves son or daughter more than Me isn’t worthy of Me. And whoever does not take up his cross and follow after Me isn’t worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.
“He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives the One who sent Me. He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward, and he who receives a tzaddik (righteous person) in the name of a tzaddik shall receive a tzaddik’s reward. And whoever gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, amen I tell you, he shall never lose his reward.” (Matthew 10:34-42)
So this means that through His New Covenant that God makes with Israel (and through Israel… with all the other families of the earth), He intends to set all of us free from our habitual petty strife, murderous hatred, varied resentments and our proneness to divisiveness that are so easy and natural for our fallen, Sin-corrupted flesh to embrace, promote and enhance. Once we repent of what we were originally, and begin to follow God’s Word out of the slavery to the Self-life into which we were originally born, we can become ‘new creations’ IN OUR MESSIAH!
In other words, if we’re willing to ‘die’ to all of the worldly, generational pettiness and suicidal destructiveness with which we had previously become entangled, we can join our Messiah as He now rules, reigns and abides with His Father… on the Resurrection side of the Cross… as members of Almighty God’s Personal Covenant Family!
“Then why the Torah? (What is the purpose of the Covenant of Moses at Sinai?) It was added because of wrongdoings until the Seed (Messiah Yeshua and His New Covenant) would come—to whom the promise (revealed to Abraham) had been made. It was arranged through angels by the hand of an intermediary. Now an intermediary is not for one party alone—but God is one. Then is the Torah against the promises of God? May it never be! For if a law had been given that could impart life, certainly righteousness would have been based on law. But the Scripture has locked up the whole world under sin, so that the promise based on trust in Messiah Yeshua might be (freely) given to those who trust.
“Now before faith came, we were being guarded under Torah—bound together until the coming faith would be revealed. Therefore the Torah became our guardian to lead us to Messiah, SO THAT WE MIGHT BE MADE RIGHT BASED ON TRUSTING (rather than by the dictates of natural human performance or ethnicity, religion, race, station or gender.)
“But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. For you are all sons of God THROUGH TRUSTING IN MESSIAH YESHUA. For all of you who were immersed (baptized) in Messiah have clothed (identified yourselves) yourselves with Messiah.
“There is (now therefore,) NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK, THERE IS NEITHER SLAVE NOR FREE, THERE IS NEITHER MALE NOR FEMALE—FOR YOU ARE ALL ONE IN MESSIAH YESHUA! And if you belong to Messiah, then you are Abraham’s seed—heirs according to the promise!” (Galatians 3:19-29. Emphasis added.)
Exposing the Strategies of the Serpent
The Serpent, who is the Father of Lies, works incessantly to divide, distinguish, separate, segregate and set humanity in opposition to itself. Just look around at what is happening in our world at this time. It is the outcropping of the fall of the human race into Sin and Death. And what we see happening in this world has the mark and the smell of death permeating everything! But we were not made for that! Never will that be able to satisfy any of us, despite the fact that many still remain spiritually blind and deaf to God’s Reality and Truth.
No, beloved… God is here to heal, cleanse, liberate, protect, unite and cause us all to become as ONE… IN HIM! He destined each one of us to be filled and fueled and completely consummated and satisfied in and by and through His Living Word made flesh… Yeshua… our Covenant Representative and Eternal Blood Brother… and Everlasting Friend.
“I pray not on behalf of these only, but also for those who believe IN ME, through their message, THAT THEY MAY ALL BE ONE. Just as You, Father, are IN ME and I am IN YOU, so also may they be ONE IN US, so the world may believe that You sent Me. The Glory that You have given to Me I have given to them, THAT THEY MAY BE ONE JUST AS WE ARE ONE— I IN THEM and You IN ME—that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me and loved them as You loved Me!” (John 17:20-23 Emphasis added.)
This is the destiny God has prepared for those members of the fallen human race who will heed and believe and obey the summons of His Living Word made flesh:
“Then Yeshua said to His disciples, “If anyone wants to follow after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life (from the First Adam) will lose it, but whoever loses his life (from the First Adam) for My sake, will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world but forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is about to come in the Glory of His Father with His angels, and then ‘He will repay everyone according to his deeds.’ (Matthew 16:24-27)
God will examine each one of us at the end, when the time for our Final Judgment is at hand. And He will judge us according to the Covenant Bond that each of us has chosen for himself, or herself. If we have chosen to remain tied to the bond we inherited from the First Adam, He will honor our choice to reject His Living Word and the New Covenant Bond He offered to all of us. In that case, God will be forced to agree with our choice to exclude ourselves from what He desired to give to us through His Living Word made flesh, the Last Adam.
But, if He sees the Life of the Last Adam living in us, that will prove that we have truly been grafted into the New Covenant that God made with Israel… through Israel’s Messiah, Yeshua. And, if we have become one with Yeshua… then it can be said that we have truly grabbed hold of the ‘tent rope’ of Almighty God… and He will most assuredly regard us as His Blood brothers… and welcome us into His Awesome Perfect Presence… FOREVER!
